Service Description
Spices are the cornerstone of Indian cooking and transform and bring life to the simplest of ingredients. Indians use over forty different spices, depending from the region they come from. In this class you will learn how to blend your own spices. You will use various spices including pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg etc. and will take away samples of the blends made on the day. You will also receive extensive notes and tips on how to store your spice blends so that they remain fresh and aromatic. Today you will learn: • Garam masala - India's most famous seasoning • Chaat masala - a popular, tangy and lip smacking blend used in street food • Tandoori masala - a spicy and smoky blend hailing from the northern parts of India • Curry powder - a mix of various spices blended together making it easier to create a curry You will use the spice blends to cook up: • Tandoori paneer • Alu (potato) chaat • Vegetable curry
Cancellation Policy
Once a class has been booked and paid for, a refund will not be made, unless a refund request is made at least 10 days before the scheduled class. In such instances 50% of the class cost will be refunded. If the class is cancelled by Cumin Cook a full refund will be made.
